Bill Manning has been sailing on Sydney Harbour all his life. From 1941 to 1957 he lived in Kirribilli on Sydney Harbour and again from 1973 to 1994 at Shell Cove. He has sailed in 8 Sydney to Hobart yacht races and 10 Sydney to Southport races as well as on the East Coast and West Coast of the USA and in the UK. 

The boats have included the first boat I sailed in 1950 a 12 Footer Varoona and a Finn Dingy in 1958.Then came (in no particular order) Four Winds, Sylvana, Sylph VI, Enid, Anitra, Norlia, Caprice of Huon, the 12 metre Gretel2, Norske (2), Margaret Rintoul, Polar Bear and my own boats from 1984 to 2004 the 42ft S&S designed Cyan and from 1969 to 1973 a Tempest, Sou Wester.
